About the Piece: My niece, Stephanie, is drawn to all things Japanese. I made this stylized kimono wall quilt for Stephanie for Christmas in 2005.

Title: "Breath of Peace"

Completed: December 2005

Dimensions: 49" wide x 64.5" high

Technique: Hand cut fabric strip pattern pieces for squares, hand cut fabric pieces for leaves, bird, moon, clouds. Machine stitched and machine quilted.

Materials used: Mostly silk with some synthetic and blend fabrics.
