About the Piece: Carree, my mother-in-law, has a beautiful, traditional dining room. I had a lot of latitude with the color choices for the runner as there are a few art pieces with warm golds, tans, off-white and soft greens. I thought the fabrics that I used in the runner were both traditional and elegant. The beading and tassels dress up the piece as well. When I saw that Carree did not have a runner, I was eager to create something special for her dining room.

Dimensions: 21.5" W (at center) x 96" L

Technique: Hand cut fabric pieces, machine stitched, machine quilted

Materials used: Various natural, synthetic and blend fabrics. Two beaded fringes were used; one around the inner center squae and another tracing the "V" shapes at each of the ends. Two tassels were added to the ends.
