"Enlightens"
February 2005

About the Piece: This wall piece was inspired by a picture I saw of a back-lit heron taking off from a lake. Once the water and bird were in place a number of different scenes were auditioned to support the back-lit bird above the water. When the fiery sky was paired with the water and bird, the rest of the "Lake Powell-esque" scene just seemed to evolve as the most believable. There is a frog in the water in the foreground at the right in the rippling water. The wall-hanging was given to my mom as a birthday present.
