About the Piece: In April of 1952, my parents, Robert and Sylvia, visited the Reichsburg castle in the town of Cochem on the Mosel River in Germany. My parents were in awe of the castle sitting on top of the mountain and took photos that forever captured the wonderment they felt. My father asked that I unleash my creative talents and try to capture the scene in a landscape quilt. This quilt was presented to my father for his 77th birthday in 2005.
